Choose A Jack

Bowls Scotland recommend: players should use separate jacks. As such, blue and white jacks have been made available.

If players choose to share a jack, Bowls Scotland suggest: whichever player collects the jack is responsible for all contact.

Following a detailed risk assessment, the committee also suggest: if members choose to share a jack, they should sanitise their hands after each delivery.

Choose Mats

Bowls Scotland recommend: players should use separate mats. As such, black and black & white mats have been made available.

If players choose to share mats, Bowls Scotland suggest: whichever player collects the mats is responsible for all contact.

Following a detailed risk assessment, the committee also suggest: if members choose to share mats, they should handle the coloured touch points (leads front/back, skips left/right) and sanitise their hands after each touch.

Sanitise Hands

Twelve bottles of hand sanitiser will be stored in the locker room and topped up on a regular basis.

Members are encouraged to sanitise their hands before, during and after play; and to place a bottle of sanitiser at both ends of their rink during play.

Should the sanitiser need to be replenished, a large top-up bottle will be stored in the grey locker behind the entrance door to the locker room.

Sanitise Jack and Mats

A pack of 200 Clinell Universal Wipes will be stored in a dispenser unit at the end of the middle row of lockers.

Members are encouraged to lightly wipe the coloured "touch points" and edges of their mats after play; and dispose of their wipes in the bin provided.

Should the wipes or bin liners need to be replenished, additional wipes and bin liners will be stored in the grey locker behind the entrance door to the locker room.

Full bin liners should be deposited in the large grey bin at the entrance gate.
